A destructive 113 mph wind gust struck Salina overnight, tearing portions of roofs into homes, downing trees, and knocking out power to more than 34,000 customers. Saline County declared a verbal state of emergency the next morning.
One-inch hail was reported across Saunders, Jefferson, Gage, and Wayne counties. In Beatrice, multiple intersections flooded with 1-2 inches of standing water in minutes.
Salina took a direct hit from golf-ball-size hail in the early morning hours, with one of the city's central malls forced to close after the storm punched through the ceiling. Roof inspections across the city ran for weeks afterward.
Softball-sized hail hit Gage County, with Beatrice sitting in the heart of the path. More than an inch of rain fell in minutes, flooding intersections including 17th and Jackson. Vehicles and homes across the city took significant damage.
Recurring hail activity through summer 2025 saw stones up to two inches reported in and around Hastings. The Hastings area has caught multiple supercell tracks across 2024–2025, with Adams County emergency sirens activated multiple times.
An overnight squall hit Salina with 95 mph winds, uprooting trees and power poles, blowing over stoplights, and ripping the roofs off multiple buildings. The Saline County Commission issued a verbal state of disaster emergency.
Two-inch hail reported in Wood River and Grand Island, with damage extending across central Nebraska through Hastings. Roofing crews were on rooftops across the Tri-Cities region the next day inspecting damage.
